PlayMaker Installation Guide
PlayMaker is a visual scripting tool used to create game logic and complex interactions without writing code.
To use PlayMaker in the XenseAR Editor Project, follow the steps below:
Import PlayMaker
PlayMaker is a paid asset, so you need to purchase PlayMaker from the Unity Asset Store before importing it into the XenseAR Editor Project.
If you have not downloaded the XenseAR Editor Project yet, install it by following the installation guide .
1. Purchase
- Access the PlayMaker asset on the Unity Asset Store here .
- Click “Buy Now”, enter your payment information, and complete the purchase.
- After the payment is successful, return to the PlayMaker page on the Unity Asset Store, select “Add to My Assets”, and then select “Open in Unity”.
- Unity Hub will open. Select the previously downloaded XenseAR Editor Project to open the project and prepare for the import process.
2. Import
- In XenseAR Editor, select
Window > My Assetsfrom the top menu bar. - Find PlayMaker and click “Download”. Once the download is complete, the “Download” button will change to “Import”.
- Select “Import”. The “Import Unity Package” window will appear with a list of PlayMaker asset files.
- Finally, click “Import” in the “Import Unity Package” window to start the import process.
3. Confirm
The following steps help you confirm that PlayMaker has been imported successfully:
- The “Welcome to PlayMaker” window appears immediately after the import is complete.
- The “PlayMaker” tab appears in the top menu bar of XenseAR Editor.
- The “PlayMaker” folder is available inside the “Assets” folder in the “Project” tab.
Required Resources
Before using PlayMaker in the XenseAR Editor Project, you need to download the following required resources:
- Download the
.zipresource file from required_resources.zip . - Extract the
.zipfile. It will contain two folders: “Modules” and “ThirdParty”. - Drag both folders into the “Assets” folder in the “Project” tab of XenseAR Editor.
- After Unity finishes compiling the code, you can start using PlayMaker.
