CONTENT TESTING GUIDE
After completing the configuration of Content, Label, and Navigation Target in XenseAR Web Editor, users should perform testing to verify that the content is displayed and functions correctly according to the design.
XenseAR provides 2 testing methods:
| Method | Testing Tool | Testing Approach | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Method 1 | XenseAR App | Direct testing at the deployment location | Evaluate the AR experience in the actual environment |
| Method 2 | XenseAR Simulator | Remote testing | Check content without being physically present at the deployment location |
Prerequisites
Before performing testing, make sure that:
- Content has been created and configured in Web Editor.
- Label has been configured if the Project uses Labeling.
- Navigation Target has been configured if the Project uses Navigation.
- The Project has been reviewed and saved.
- All content has been fully updated on the system.
- An appropriate testing method has been selected.
Note: It is recommended to perform testing in Web Editor first to identify basic issues related to position, scale, content, or configuration before testing on the App or Simulator.
Method 1 – Testing with the XenseAR App
The XenseAR App allows users to test AR experiences directly on a mobile device at the actual deployment location.
This method provides a direct and intuitive way to evaluate how AR content is displayed and interacted with in the real environment.

Advantages of Testing with the App
This method allows testing directly in the real environment, making it suitable for evaluating:
- Content positioning accuracy.
- AR experience stability.
- Alignment with the physical environment.
- Positioning and localization capabilities.
- The actual user experience.
- Navigation performance at the deployment location.
Recommendation: This testing method should be performed before acceptance testing or officially deploying the AR experience.
Method 2 – Testing with AR PlayBack (XenseAR Simulator)
AR PlayBack (XenseAR Simulator) supports remote AR experience testing, allowing users to check content without being physically present at the deployment location.
This method is suitable during development, content modification, and quick testing before performing real-world testing.
