XENSEAR WEB EDITOR OVERVIEW

1. Introduction

XenseAR Web Editor is an online AR content editing tool integrated into the XenseAR Creator Portal at xensear.vn/portal. The tool allows users to build and create AR experiences directly in a web browser without requiring advanced programming knowledge.

Web Editor is designed around an intuitive interaction model, allowing users to manage 3D spaces, create projects, arrange AR content, and configure experience components within a spatial environment. The workflow primarily relies on selecting, dragging and dropping, and configuring object properties.

XenseAR Creator Portal serves as a centralized management platform for Spatial Maps, Projects, and content data related to AR experiences.

2. Purpose

XenseAR Web Editor is used to:

  • Create and manage AR experience projects.
  • Select and use a Spatial Map as the reference space for a project.
  • Visualize 3D spaces in the editing environment.
  • Add, position, and configure AR content within the space.
  • Configure components for AR experiences on a per-project basis.
  • Configure and test AR navigation routes when the project uses the Navigation feature.
  • Save and review content before deployment.

Web Editor is suitable for small- to medium-scale AR content and scenarios that require rapid experience creation through an intuitive interface.

3. General Workflow

The process of building an AR experience in Web Editor can be performed through the following basic steps:

Step 1. Prepare the Spatial Map

Select or prepare appropriate spatial data for the deployment area.

Step 2. Create a Project

Create a new Project in XenseAR Portal and link the Project to the corresponding Spatial Map.

Step 3. Open Web Editor

Access the Project and open the Web Editor environment to begin creating the experience.

Step 4. Initialize the Editor and Configure the Space

Select and initialize the Editor. Open the Project, check the 3D space, and identify the area where the content will be deployed.

Step 5. Add and Position AR Content

Add the required content, then define its position and adjust the object’s properties within the 3D space.

Step 6. Configure Navigation (if applicable)

Define the Start Point, Destination, and navigation options, then check the generated route in the 3D space.

Step 7. Review and Save the Project

Review all content, positions, and Project settings before saving and deploying the Project.

4. Usage Notes

  • Make sure the Spatial Map is selected correctly and is suitable for the actual deployment area.
  • Check the position of objects in the 3D space before completing the Project.
  • Optimize the size and structure of 3D content to ensure performance on devices using Web AR.
  • Save the Project regularly during the editing process to avoid losing changes.
  • For the Navigation feature, make sure the NavMesh data and destination locations are configured correctly before testing routes.
  • Test the experience on an actual device at the deployment location before making it available for official use.
